Magnetic Particle Testing Courses
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) - Level I and II
Method for detecting surface and limited subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys. The method is based on creating a magnetic field to the test subject. White paint acts as a contrast color to the black magnetic powder.
Course topics include:
-
Theory of Magnetic Particle Examination
-
Magnetic fields, flux leakage, magnetization processes, particles/mediums
-
Applications, basic principles, and safety considerations are addressed
This 24-hour course exceeds the instruction outline and criteria specified in the ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A.
